THE FULANI INVASION OF NIGERIA, THEIR HISTORY, THEIR INTENTIONS, MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND UMAR MUHAMMED LABDO (PART 2). Interview by Femi Fani-Kayode

What do you think about their leadership qualities?

There is something very interesting that Napolean Bonaparte, the greatest Emperor and leader that France ever had, once said about the British cavalry.

I believe it was at the Battle of Waterloo. He said that the British had “the best cavalry in Europe” but that it was “the worst led”.

This describes the Fulani very well. They are a wonderful people who are courageous in battle, fearless and disciplined. They are also deeply loyal to their friends and bitterly ruthless and ferocious with their enemies, never forgetting a favour or a slight.

However sadly their traditional institutions and poitical leadership encourages and sustains a feudal system which frowns on education for the ordinary people and which keeps them in darkness and bondage. Worst still they have a rigid class system which does not serve them well.

That is why the great Hausa leader from Kano, Mallam Aminu Kano, once said that until all the Fulani Emirs were removed…

APC Has Failed Nigerians – Tinubu

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, admitted that the ruling party has failed to meet the expectations of Nigerians after almost three years in office.

He also said that the goodwill which it enjoyed during the 2015 general elections and the inauguration of the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had been squandered.

Tinubu therefore concluded that the APC has a lot of work to do to regain public confidence and solidarity before the 2019 general elections.

The former Governor of Lagos State bared his mind on the state of the party on Wednesday in Abuja when he held a closed-door meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party at its secretariat.

The meeting was Tinubu’s first since Buhari appointed him to reconcile all the feuding leaders of the APC in various states of the federation.

In his down to earth assessment of the APC, Tinubu said that the party had faced several challenges since it took over power in 2015, stressing…

AMAECHI’S FRAUD EXPOSED

The Minister of Transportation and the former governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi fraudulent act while as the governor of the state been exposed.

The exposure was made when the ragtag INCRA urchins of APC that are loyal to the transport minister was sent to attack the Senate His Excellency Dr. Bukola Saraki by Amaechi, unknowingly they ended up exposing the fraudulent act of the minister.

In a bid to cast aspersions on the Senate President for his tongue lashing of the minister,  the APC urchins shot the minister on the foot when they reminded Dr. Saraki how Amaechi awarded contracts to build 105 health centers across the state to Saraki.

Recall that Senator Dr. Saraki during the thanksgiving service in honour of Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, took a swipe at Amaechi saying that Amaechi wouldn’t have been a minister if not for Abe and wondered why Amaechi is fighting Abe and causing disunity in Rivers State APC.

This action by the Senate President infuriated Amaechi …

Heavy Defection hits APC

Barring any change, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may be hit by mass defection, in the next few months.

Daily Sun gathered that some APC governors, senators and members of the House of Representatives are seriously dissatisfied with events in the ruling party.

Some of them are said to have cut a deal with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with a view to joining the opposition political party.

This is coming at a time the PDP has declared that its platform was open to all Nigerians to actualise their dreams of contesting elections.

But reacting, National Publicity of the APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, told Daily Sun that the party won’t want to react to such information when no name of any governor or chieftain was mentioned.

However, competent sources among those who attended the PDP’s recent National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Asaba, Delta State capital, revealed that top APC members, who will defect may join the PDP latest by May.

Eleven PDP governors and othe…

Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president of Nigeria, on Thursday, February 15, 2018, blamed the Muhammadu Buhari led administration’s inability to deliver on its promises on socio-political inequality, a weak justice system, absence of rule of law and lack of state capacity to maintain law and order.

Professor Osinbajo also expressed frustrations at the inability of anti-graft agencies to secure convictions for the many suspects brought before the courts for corruption due to the manipulative tendencies of the elite class. Osinbajo spoke as Mathew Hassan Kukah, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, said the problems plaguing the nation’s democracy will not disappear with the removal of President Muhammadu Buhari from office.

The duo made their separate remarks at a public lecture organised by…
