Untold story of Chibok girls’ kidnap By Joe Parkinson and Drew Hinshaw

The convoy of Land Cruisers rattled down a dusty road near Nigeria’s border with Cameroon, plunging into the remote forest stronghold controlled by fighters from Boko Haram. If everything went to plan, they would arrive at the rendezvous point before 4 p.m.

Inside the trucks sat five captured fighters, freshly extracted from prison, the first piece of the government’s proposed bargain. In a separate vehicle, according to people involved in the deal, a security detail guarded Nigeria’s principal concession to the Islamist terror group, a black duffel bag containing €2 million in plastic-wrapped cash.

The journey had started under a drizzling rain in a town torched by insurgents and bombed by jets during a decade of war. Lookouts were charting their progress, the passengers assumed, and the road was notorious for improvised explosives. One misstep could derail months of planning.

President Buhari speaks on Rivers and Kaduna's killing

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday expressed shock and outrage at reports of killings of innocent persons in Omoku, Rivers State; and murders of the traditional ruler, the Etum Numana, Dr. Gambo Makama, and his wife in Sango Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the New Year.

A statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, described the incidents as “reprehensible and unacceptable”.

The president directed law enforcement agencies in both states to intensify their current efforts in order to speedily bring the perpetrators to face the wrath of the law.

“I have always maintained that nothing justifies the taking of the life of an innocent person.

“People in our communities must learn to live peacefully,” he said.

Buhari appealed to the communities affected not to embark on reprisal attacks, but to allow security agencies to carry out comprehensive investigations to properly punish the culprits.

He commiserated with the families of the victims and wished the injured faster recovery.

He proposed, I said ‘No’ but now I want to say ‘Yes’ — Lady Laments

Here’s a story of a Nigerian Lady identified as Mary, who said ‘No’ to her boyfriend of three years when he popped the question.
She says she wasn’t ready, and even after giving her boyfriend the ‘please don’t do this’ look when he was about to go on his knees, he still went ahead and popped the question.

Now she’s regretting that she broke his heart, and wants him to come back so she can say ‘Yes’ to his marriage proposal.
Read her below:

“My name is Mary, I heartlessly said ‘No’ to my boyfriend of three years a month ago, embarrassing him before his friends, my friends and some few family members because I thought I wasn’t ready.
I really wasn’t expecting the proposal, he totally caught me offguard on my birthday and I was scared, I gave him all the looks of ‘please don’t do this’ when he dropped on his knees and brought out the ring, but he went ahead to propose.

I said ‘No’, I broke his heart! Every night since then, I keep seeing his eyes as I snatched my fingers from his grasp …

Nigerians react to Fr. Mbaka’s prophecy on Buhari

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has come under attack by Nigerians over his 2019 prophecies.

Mbaka in his new year message had declared that Buhari would be totally disgraced if he takes a shot at the presidency after his current tenure.

Some Nigerians who seem not to have forgotten the preacher’s support for Buhari in 2015 elections have asked him to stop politicising and face the word of God.

At the same pulpit three years ago, he had prophesied that then President Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated in the 2015 election and also supported Buhari’s change.

Here are some comments:

@kingmethods “Fr. Mbaka, how market?before 2015 general elections, you said Buhari is the only person that can save Nigeria. And now before 2019 general election you are saying….Buhari, contest and be disgraced.
“Fr. Mbaka Face your church and leave IPOB and Nigerian politics alone!!! Religion and politics don’t go together

Ladies, if a guy has these 8 habits,Ladies, if a guy has these 8 habits, don’t marry him

Imagine if you married a guy…but then realised he had bad habits that couldn’t be cured?
In this article, we take a look at why you need to avoid guys with these eight habits.

1. He’s Full Of Excuses: He can’t just give you a straight answer for why he let you down, and instead resorts to his Big Book Of Boyfriend Excuses. Each time he makes an excuse, he’s displaying his immaturity to you.

Moreover, there is a good chance he’s lying. Excuses are the resort of children – and you want to marry a man, not a child.
2. He’s Narrow Minded: Guys who are narrow minded can be frustrating. Some guys can seem to be the most open-minded people about certain topics, but become closed off when it comes to other topics. And it’s really annoying because it can contaminate your relationship.

3. He Shouts: Any guy who has a habit of exploding with anger is a no-go as far as Beauty and Tips is concerned. If you’ve met a man who shouts, screams and verbally abuses people, stay well away from him.
